Important question guys,
How do i reduce the space that appears below the plugin,
Below the Facebook “like” button there’s a big white space now. I know this is for the thumbnails to appear, but i want to minimize it.

I’m going to look into this for you, Amaury.
If you have the latest version of the plugin installed (at the moment 0.2), the whitespace is removed when you uncheck “Show Faces” in the settings. Facebook designed it so that the space is reserved for headshots, so I override their settings with a smaller height when a user changes their “show faces” setting.

I agree with Amaury. This is taking up way too much space for the thin line I thought it was going to be. I also understand if the space if made for people’s avatars, but can’t it dynamically create the space it needs instead of taking up so much space? Thanks!

I agree too, that is why I updated it so that we can override Facebook’s default settings by removing faces… Please let us know if my reply to Amaury was helpful.

Can you get plug ins if you are on a free wordpress blog?
Unfortunately I don’t believe the wordpress.com accounts allow you to install custom plugins.
I have to agree with the spacing issue. I’ll wait to see what you come up with as I don’t want to go testing out every single “like” plugin that is now available! LOL

Please let me know if the spacing issue is sufficient now. Facebook reserves space for “Show Faces” by default so if you disable it in the settings it will only be about 25px tall.
how do i control the positioning of the button in the post? I would like more control than just top/bottom as it currently obscures my “sexy bookmarks” plugin….

Would be very handy to be able to turn it on/off for individual pages and posts (would be even better if this could be done in the main “Edit pages” page, as opposed to editing each individual page to toggle it on/off).

1. I run a secured site, using https. After installing the plugin, users report getting mixed (unencrypted) content warnings from IE and Firefox.
2. My StatPress logs show that during the time I was running this plugin, user visits were being redirected through an IP address in Albania.
Would the author of wordpress-facebook-like, please explain these anomalies?
Other than that, I do like this plugin, and would use it; if these questions/issues are resolved to my satisfaction.

Is it just my computer? It always just asks me to log in, even though I am already logged in. What’s the deal? Same happens on your page, and with my buttons that do work, so it’s clearly not your fault, but that don’t mean you can’t tell me how to fix it, right?

Nice plugin, however…
It would be nice to have more control as to where the buttons shows on the site.
Right now it’s either above or below. But it doesn’t even show below the post, it shows below the content. It would be nicer if it would show BELOW the content. Like in between the posts. A little more control as to colors would be nice too. The given options don’t work well on all background colors… Still a nice plugin though!
Ow.. and how does the language thing work? I’m based in the Netherlands, but a lot of my readers come from all over the world … Does the language used in the button and text change when people from not Dutch speaking countries visit the site?
