Gift!

Wednesday, December 22nd, 2010

We’re working on a project for a client that involves mannequins so we’ve been looking at a few of them lately. A few weeks ago, Linda mentioned in passing that it would be cool if we had some mannequins in the office. Mental note!!

For Christmas, we decided a great gift for Linda and the office would be a mannequin. Laura reached out to Nordstrom and other stores only to find out there are no spare mannequins in southern California. Thankfully, Amazon sells pretty much anything and our new visitor came in from New Jersey just in time for the holidays.

Her shirt reads: “This holiday we thought we’d find you the Perfect Employee.” She’s size 2, super-stylish and I’m pretty sure Wire Man was already flirting with her.

Linda loves her but now we need your help because she needs a name. If you have any suggestions, leave them in the comments or on our Facebook page.

Happy Holidays from the G/J team (including mannequin)!

Biker Girl

Friday, July 30th, 2010

Linda wanted to start bicycling to get some more exercise but she wanted to make sure she still remembered how to ride one before she bought a bike of her own.

Amanda brought in her beach cruiser from home and we took advantage of some beautiful Long Beach weather and went outside for a brief refresher course. As you can see from this video, Linda had no problems at all. It’s true – you don’t forget how to ride a bicycle!

Happy cycling, Linda!

By the way, if you’re in the Long Beach area, you should support Bike Long Beach, an initiative to make Long Beach the most bike-friendly city in America.
